Recruiting in due course

We will be recruiting in due course after a very successful drive this year. If you are interested in an apprenticeship in steelfixing, general construction operations or formwork carpentry, please email your CV to john.mcphillips@heyrod.co.uk

We are also looking to partner up with firms who would be willing to use Heyrod Training Services for their training, if you would like to discuss this in further detail please contact Neill Lester – neill.lester@heyrod.co.uk.

Heyrod Construction is one of the sector leaders in Greater Manchester for Civil Engineering. The skills shortage is currently affecting the industry and it is likely to get worse, with this is mind Heyrod Construction created their own unique training provider Heyrod Training Services and intends to train and retain its students as well as opening their doors to external clients and companies.

Heyrod Training Services are currently working with a number of partners to provide a lasting solution to this problem. Heyrod Training Services and Salford City College worked together to ensure we are now an accredited training provider to deliver three apprenticeships in Civil Engineering, funded by the SFA. The three apprenticeships are:

  • Intermediate Apprenticeship in General Construction Operations and Civil Engineering
  • Intermediate Apprenticeship in Steelfixing
  • Intermediate Apprenticeship in Formwork Carpentry

From September 2017 we are also going to be delivering Intermediate and Advanced Level Apprenticeships.

These apprenticeships are being trained by the industry meaning that the apprentices will learn from people who are doing the job on a daily basis with extensive knowledge and experience in this field. As the industry is providing the training for the apprenticeships we know and understand what barriers apprentices and the employer has to face.
